dtv-Atlas Musik: Als Abiturhilfe tauglich?
Die Atlas-Reihe des Deutschen Taschenbuchverlages ist eigentlich als Sammlung von Nachschlagewerken gedacht. Doch das macht sie meiner Meinung nach gerade geeignet, beim Lernen unter die Arme zu greifen. Man muss nur strukturiert an das Lernen herangehen.
Im Gegensatz zu übrigen Abiturhilfen ist der dtv-Atlas nicht didaktisch aufgebaut. Außerdem sind nicht, wie bei Schulbüchern üblich nur die relevanten Themen enthalten, sondern alle Themen, die zu einem umfassenden Verständnis beitragen. Und genau das ist die Stärke dieses Buches.
Denn sehr knapp und präzise vermittelt dieses Buch die Musikgeschichte mit ihren Hintergründen und Eigenheiten. Satztechniken, musikwissenschaftliche Methoden, Vortragsbezeichnungen und Instrumentenkunde kommen auch nicht zu kurz. Sehr erfreulich ist auch die übersichtliche Skizzierung klassischer Formen der Musik. Doch um eine Fuge mit Kontrapunkt und Ästhetik zu verstehen, kommt man um die Analyse eines solchen Werkes nicht herum.
Da dieser Musikatlas kein didaktisches Werk ist, muss man sich selber das Lernen organisieren: Sich Listen machen, was für die Klausuren gefordert ist und an den Stellen, die unsicher sind, nachhaken. Der Atlas bietet hier ein Mittel, Unklarheiten aus dem Weg zu räumen. Besonders, weil er eben um Verständnis bemüht ist. Deshalb sind die über fünfhundert Seiten immer gleich aufgebaut: Rechts eine Seite mit Grafiken, links eine mit Text. Die Grafiken bilden Schemata, Übersichten und Notenbeispiele ab, die einfach zu verstehen und leicht zu merken sind.
Fazit: Der dtv-Atlas: Musik ist sicherlich als Abiturhilfe tauglich. Er kann bei Hausaufgaben helfen, bei Vorbereitung auf Klausuren und natürlich im Alltag eines Musikers.
